We have a busy weekend coming up at the club. This starts with the John Scammell Memorial Stroll, which will be led by John's great friend and our club president Ron Mehta. It starts from the club at 2pm on Saturday. You are encouraged to bring a picnic and/or something to throw on the barbeque afterwards. More details can be found HERE.

Also on Saturday afternoon, we have this season's second SUP/Kayak event. The event is open to club members and visitors alike. Plans are to meet at the club at 1.30pm to leave the beach around 2pm. We will then paddle to Osea Island, where high water is 3.34pm. Please note that there will be no SSC safety boat cover for this paddle. The event is free to club members, with a small charge for visitors. Please register for the event HERE. As with the stroll, participants are encouraged to bring a picnic and/or something for the barbeque afterwards.

The bar will be open on Saturday afternoon from 3pm to help quench the thirst of walkers and paddlers alike. The bar will open at midday on Sunday.

Unfortunately, there will be no catering/galley provision this weekend.

Sailing will start at 2pm on Sunday, to hopefully take advantage of any sea breeze that comes in. This week it is the RNLI Pennant club handicap race. There will also be a Cadet Summer Series race on Sunday afternoon.

The minutes of recent management committee meetings have now been added to the members section of the website, which you can access by clicking HERE.

The Thursday night series continues for the rest of this month, with evening meals available every week. Meals are provided by Peaberries of Burnham and are kindly organised by Jo Harris. These have been a great success and can be booked by clicking HERE.

The last weekend of July is Old Gaffers weekend. The bar will be open from 5pm on Friday 22nd July and from 3.30pm on Saturday 23rd. Jane will be providing meals on both evenings and members are welcome to join the Old Gaffers to eat. You can book meals for this weekend by clicking HERE.

Don't forget that booking for Stone Week is now open on the website. Click HERE to register for sailing and socials for the week. Evening meals for the Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights of Stone Week have now been added to the website and can be booked by clicking HERE.

Here's hoping for decent weather and that as many members as possible can join in with events over this weekend and the coming weeks.
