Fleets

Stone Sailing Club points racing is currently split into three main handicap fleets. They are the Fast Handicap for those boats with a Portsmouth Yardstick of 1015 or lower, the Slow Handicap for boats with a PY of 1016 or higher and the Cadet fleet for young sailors from 7 to 17 years of age. From time to time, if a single fleet has enough entrants, they can have their own separate starts. This tends to change over time, as various fleets gain popularity. The list below covers boats currently sailed at Stone, but it is not exhaustive and members can apply to the Sailing Secretary to have other boat types included.
