Work Days 2026

The first of our Work Days will take place from 10:30am on Saturday 28th February.  One of the jobs to be done is to clean out and tidy the shop, to make it more useable. If you have property in the shop, can you please email Simon by clicking HERE, to let him know what is yours, or even better, join us for the Work Day and make sure that nothing is lost.

Here is a list of just some of the things that need to be done:

BLACKTHORN UPSTAIRS
- remove Cadet and dispose 
- general tidy
- bin obvious rubbish
- check and organise spare sailing kit

SHOP
- general tidy and clean
- bin obvious rubbish
- create area for Mark the caterer to use

LADIES' CHANGING ROOM
- generally ok but possible deep clean

BOILER ROOM
- general tidy
- bin obvious rubbish
- install locker (see below)

GENTS' CHANGING ROOM
- deep clean
- repair and revarnish racks
- radiators to be repaired/replaced 
- install locker (see below)
- doors to be repaired/replaced 

OFFICE
- blitz again

AREA OUTSIDE CLUBHOUSE
- rehang and clean blue awning
- repair and paint garden benches

LOBBY AT BOTTOM OF STAIRS
- uninstall lockers and move to changing rooms
- prep walls, doors and ceiling for painting white

GENTS AND LADIES TOILETS
- prep walls, doors and ceiling for painting white

BALCONY
- de-weed
- pressure wash
- clear gutters
- check and clean balcony furniture

BRIDGE
- general tidy
- bin obvious rubbish

PLAY AREA
- replace climbing cover 
- clean and check all equipment including swings
- cut grass

RACKING BEHIND CHNAGING ROOMS
- clear out and make useable 

DINGHY PARK
- de-weed area around support boat shed
- seating by support boat shed 
- clean pile of nails etc from bonfire
- strim/cut grass where appropriate
