Blaze Nationals 2022

The 2022 Blaze National Championships were held at Stone SC and attracted 44 boats from all over England and Wales. The fleet enjoyed champagne sailing, in glorious sunshine throughout.

A huge well done to Wendy and all the team who helped to make the event such a great success. The social events were fabulous, from Thursday night to Sunday afternoon. What a great group of crazy party animals the Blaze class are !

A massive thanks to Laura and Simon for another fabulous Games Night on Friday. Many visitors told us that it was the BEST night of all Blaze events, EVER !! On Saturday evening we had the singing and fun of Steve C , another great night .

Sarah and Chris worked so hard the whole time, to keep bar from running dry. Happy hours and shots for £1 helped the thirsty lot stay hydrated !!

The feedback from the Blaze class was as follows: 'Stone Sailing Club were brilliant hosts. Wendy and her race team were faultless, getting away a full series of racing efficiently. The River Blackwater and the Essex coast showed why it's the one of the sunniest places in the country, with wall to wall sunshine and perfect sailing breeze'.
