Laura's Seafood Feast and Fish Supper

We are delighted to announce the return of a firm favourite! The ending of Covid restrictions means we can return to mingling and buffets and fabulous feasting. So Laura's ever popular Seafood Feast and Fish Supper is back and we plan to have a crowd !It will follow the tried and tested format with canapés /amuses-bouches / hors d'oeuvres served in the downstairs bar, followed by a seafood buffet upstairs with formal tables for you to dine at, and lastly a scrummy pud, for as we know, a meal is not complete without one.
In order to do justice to the fine food we ask that you dress smartly for the occasion - jeans and t shirts are not wanted, ties and tiaras are optional.
Laura and her team will be heading to Billingsgate fish market to buy the best the market can provide. The bell to open the market rings at 4am, so they will be leaving the village before 3am to ensure they get the freshest fare at the keenest prices. There are no guarantees as to exactly what they will buy, but they usually come home laden with fresh crabs, whole salmon, prawns (large and small), mussels, smoked mackerel and salmon, oysters, eels (jellied and smoked) and a selection of other tasty morsels that have caught their eye. This will be lovingly prepared and laid out on a huge buffet table on the lounge deck, with the simple accompaniments of bread and green salad.
The bright ones amongst you will have grasped that this really is a piscine themed meal, and therefore will not embarrass yourselves by asking what the meat or vegetarian option is. For the rest of you I must make clear that the alternative to eating fish and seafood is staying at home. There is also no reduced ticket price for children.
Tickets are likely to be popular so will be available initially to members only at the bargain price of £35. If there are tickets still available after Friday 15th April then they will be offered out for non-member guests at £40.
