Santa's Visit 2022

It was lovely to be able to reinstate the Christmas Party properly and be back celebrating and looking out for Santa from the lounge deck.
The party went well, with lots of smalls getting gifts from Santa, while proud parents and grandparents looked on. Only one child cried, and Father Christmas was able to check that those present were being good before making his deliveries on Christmas Eve. It was also good to have the buffet downstairs and be able to share contributions from everyone. Special mention for the Stone Family chocolate crispy cake - always a winner with Santa and his chief Elf!
Then Father Christmas and his helpers toured the village handing out chocolates and wishing the onlookers a Merry Christmas. If you can, check out on Facebook, the lovely comments from people living in the village. It has become a lovely community activity that we must continue.
Thanks to Boo for making sure the clubhouse was in ship shape order before the party started, and to Santa's helpers. Graham Adamson did a sterling job towing the sleigh around behind his monster truck. Annie, Lucy, Jude and Nancy were part of the crew, door knocking and dispensing chocolate. Also clocking up their steps around the village as part of Team Sleigh Support were Geoff and Helen Kimber, Kylie Bawden and Laura Wakefield. The step tally was clocked at 18,000 for the day! Apologies were received from Simon Wakefield, who had other duties!
