On Friday evening the bar will be open from 5pm, to welcome the arrival of the East Coast Old Gaffers. They will be holding their annual race on Saturday from our club start line, with a first start planned for 10.30am. For those not familiar with this event, it's a fabulous tradition we as a club uphold for the East Coast Old Gaffers, by hosting their premier racing event It used to be such a big deal, it was televised a few times ! Stan and Marion Atkins had 15 mins of TV fame, manning the Bridge about 40 yrs ago !!

These traditional old work boats date back years , some more than 100 years . This year our club is represented by our very own Salty Old Sea Dog Simon ( AKA Lord Wakefield of Tinnocks ) Helming for our lovely Laura on her gaffer Sepia, good luck to them for Saturday ! While the Old Gaffers are taking racing seriously and eating and drinking, on their way to somewhere near Holland and back , there is Laser 2000 training going on at the club.

The bar is open from 12.30 on Saturday and we have more live music this week, in the form of a sea shanty band called The Hoolies at 5.30pm. So tap your toes to all those traditional shanty type tunes !

This will be followed by showing of the England v Ukraine Live on a big screen at 8pm. It's coming home ?!?

Sunday racing is RNLI Pennant race and club points, with the bar open 12.30-16.00

Great weekend in prospect!
