First Aid Course

Our local Dengie Community First Responders have offered to run a free first aid course for our members on Wednesday 5th April. This will be held upstairs in the Club Lounge at 7.30pm. The course will run for approx. 2.5 hours.

The course will be delivered by current qualified first responders via a PowerPoint style slide show with videos and will cover the following:

• Unconscious casualty
  
• CPR Adult / CPR Drowning
  
• Defibrillation
  
• Recovery position
  
• Choking
  
• Bleeding
  
• Asthma

Each of these subjects will be discussed and demonstrated in depth with focus on patient safety, consent and rescuer safety. Then a practical break out session will allow members to have hands on practice.

Please note this is not a formal course and no qualification is issued other than a certificate of attendance.
