RIB Training and RIB Handling Courses

The days will consist of either RYA level 2 training course for those wishing to have the qualification that will allow rib safety driving at youth events and other non-club events where the qualification is required. This course may also interest those who may wish to improve their powerboat boat handling skills, and get the certificate to say the qualification has been achieved. The club training is free of charge, but a payment to Bradwell of around £130 will be necessary to get the certificate, as SSC is not an accredited training centre. This cost still represents a huge saving on the standard RYA training cost.
We will also offer club safety boat refresher courses for those who would like to understand the club safety boats a little better. We will be doing general boat handling skills, mark laying, man/person/child overboard and approaching capsized craft. This will help build confidence when these situations arise and will help on and off the water, to make safety boat duties more pleasurable.
